NTN stands for National Training Number and is awarded to doctors in a specialty training programme which has an endpoint of the award of CCT or CESR. The main purpose of the training number is to support educational planning and management by enabling Postgraduate Deans to keep track of the location and progress of trainees. NTNs are a required field on a trainee's ARCP Outcome Form.
If you do not know your NTN, contact your deanery.
Trainees can edit portfolio details including their NTN on the portfolio page of their Portfolio Online account.
