There may be times when it would be useful for a Mini-PAT to end earlier than the scheduled deadline such as in the run-up to a supervision meeting.
Registered supervisors for a trainee can request a mini-PAT be ended early, but only if all nominated assessors have responded and the Portfolio Online Team have received an email from a registered supervisor stating that they are happy with the mix of assessors used. This email should be sent to support@portfolioonline.co.uk
Supervisors can check that all nominated assessors have responded by going to the trainee's portfolio and clicking on the link to the Mini-PAT. If all nominated assessors have responded, the number of nominations and responses in the Summary will match. In this example we can see that the trainee has nominated 11 assessors and that all 11 nominated assessors have submitted their response.
A list of nominated assessors can be found on the same page. Supervisors can use this to check that the mix of assessors nominated for the mini-PAT is appropriate.
Once the supervisor is satisfied that all assessors have responded and that the mix of assessors is appropriate, the supervisor should send an email to support@portfolioonline.co.uk requesting the Mini-PAT be ended early. The email might look something like this:
I am one of the registered supervisors for [Trainee's name] and I would like to request their current mini-PAT be ended early. All nominated assessors have responded and I can confirm that an appropriate mix of assessors has been used.
Once The Portfolio Online Team has ended the Mini-PAT, the supervisor should feed back the collated responses to the trainee before they release the collated Mini-PAT feedback to the trainee's portfolio.
Why can't a Mini-PAT be ended early unless all nominated assessors have responded?
