Trainees or those in non-training posts can request a supervisor complete an ARCP Educational Supervisor Summary Report on them by requesting a review from their portfolio on Portfolio Online. If they do this, a notification will appear on the supervisor's Dashboard notifying them of the request. Supervisors can still write a review on a trainee without a request being made. Here's how.
- Log on to your Supervisor account on Portfolio Online.
- Click on Trainees in the menu bar.
- If you are the trainee's Training Programme Director (TPD), click on View All
- Select the name of the trainee from the list.
- If you cannot see the person you supervise, let them know. It may be that they have not added you as their supervisor or they have added you with the wrong email address.
- Go to the Reviews section of the trainee's portfolio and click on + New Review
- Select the type of review from the list.
- For some reviews, you may need to specify the framework and post you wish to review against.
- Click on Start Review.
- Complete the form.
- POtip: For longer forms, save progress as you go.
- Click on Submit or Save as Draft.
- Once a form has been submitted, it will be stored in the Reviews section of a trainee's portfolio, and in the Forms section of a supervisor's account.
- If a review is saved as a draft, it will be stored in the supervisor's account in the Forms section of their account only and will have the status 'in progress' until the supervisor submits it.
