Trainees can request a review from a supervisor from their Portfolio Online accounts, but a trainee may not always do this. Supervisors can still write one of our online reviews on a trainee without a request being made. Here's how:
Step 1: Go to the dashboard of your supervisor account on Portfolio Online.
The dashboard of a supervisor's account has a 'portfolio card' for every trainee they supervise. If you cannot see a portfolio card for a trainee you supervise, it may be that the trainee has not added you as a supervisor or has added you with a the wrong email address.
Step 2: Click on the '+ New Review' button on the portfolio card of the trainee you wish to review.
Step 3: Select the type of review from the drop-down box.
There are a number of reviews available online including one for induction meetings, one for supervision sessions, an end-of-post or mid-term supervisor review called Psychiatric Supervisor Report and an end of year review called ARCP Educational Supervisor Summary Report.
Step 4: Click on 'Start Review'.
Step 5: Complete the details on the form.
Step 6: Click on 'Submit' or 'Save Draft'
Once a form has been submitted, it will be stored in the 'Reviews' section of a trainee's portfolio, and in the 'Forms' section of a supervisor account.
If a review is saved as a draft, it will be stored in the supervisor's account under the 'Forms' section only and will have the status 'in progress'. The supervisor can reopen the form to edit it and submit it at any point.
