Trainees can send out requests for work-place based assessments to assessors from their Portfolio Online accounts. Assessors will receive an email notifying them of the assessment request. Assessors with Portfolio Online accounts will also be able to access the assessments from their dashboard.
Step 1: Click on the '+ New Assessment' on your Specialty Training Portfolio in Portfolio Online.
Step 2: Select the standard you wish to be assessed against and the assessment type.
Step 3: Click on 'Create Assessment'.
Step 4: Complete the details on the form if required.
Some sections of some work-place based assessments can be pre-populated by the trainee before sending them to a nominated assessor. For example, trainees can write a synopsis to provide some context for the WPBA or choose from a clinical experience (e.g. a Case Log) to link to the WPBA.
Step 5: Click on 'Save Changes'.
Step 6: Enter the email address of the assessor you wish to complete the assessment.
Step 7: Click on 'Nominate'.
Step 8: Click on 'Send'.
Once sent, an assessment request will appear in the outstanding tasks section of the assessor's dashboard.
Assessment requests expire after 28 days and after this time can be deleted by the trainee if they are no longer required.
