Once the ARCP process is complete, Trainees will be asked to sign off the ARCP to acknowledge the outcome. Acknowledging an ARCP indicates that a trainee understands the recommendations arising from the review. It does not imply that they accept or agree with them. The trainee can still have the recommendation reviewed as well as the right of appeal for outcomes 3, 4 and 7.3 as delineated in The Gold Guide, Section 7.
- In your portfolio on Portfolio Online, choose Portfolio > Reviews
- Select the ARCP you wish to sign off.
- Check the agreement box then click on Sign Off
Note: ARCP reviews are also available to a trainee's registered supervisors. This includes the Training Programme Director, Director of Medical Education and Head of School. The documents are made available for information and to support revalidation processes. The documents will also be accessible by The Royal College of Psychiatrists. This information will also be submitted to the GMC electronically as part of the Deanery/LETB’s annual report to the GMC through the ARCP/RITA survey.
