One of the final steps in the ARCP process is to release a signed-off ARCP Outcome Form to a trainee. This role is performed by the deanery administrator and a list of those trainees who need their outcomes released can be accessed from a deanery administrator's account on Portfolio Online.
Step 1: Log in to your Deanery Administrator account on Portfolio Online.
Step 2: Go to the 'School' page.
The school page contains all the information for a school including a summary page of the current status of all ARCPs and a calendar of ARCP panels.
Step 3: Click on the ARCPs which have the status 'approved'
The status approved means an ARCP Outcome Form has been signed off and is ready for release to the trainee.
Step 4: Click on 'release' on the trainee's ARCP.
This is the last opportunity a deanery has to ensure that all the information on the ARCP Outcome Form is correct. Deanery Administrators can 'view form' at this stage to check this before releasing. Once an ARCP Outcome Form has been released to a trainee, the trainee can see its contents so we need to take additional steps to ensure that the trainee is aware of any later amendments to their portfolio.
If an ARCP Outcome Form has been released to a trainee in error and it needs amending, see our article: How do I amend an ARCP Outcome Form that has already been released to the trainee?
Once the outcome has been released, the trainee can acknowledge the outcome from their own account. For step-by-step guidance on acknowledging an outcome, see our article: Acknowledge an ARCP Outcome.
A visualisation of the different stages of conducting an ARCP online using Portfolio Online along with a key to the different roles in the process can be found in our article The ARCP Timeline & Roles.
