Trainees can now send out assessment requests from their Portfolio Online accounts.
If a trainee has sent an assessment request to an assessor who has a Portfolio Online account, the request will be on the dashboard of the assessor's account ready for the assessor to complete.
It is not always necessary for a trainee to send an assessment request for an assessor to do an assessment on a trainee.
Assessors can search for a trainee from the Portfolio Online homepage and complete an assessment even if they do not have an account.
Mini-PAT assessments cannot be completed this way. For step-by-step guidance on how to complete a mini-PAT see out article: Complete a Mini-PAT.
Step 1: Type the name or GMC number of the person you wish to assess in the search box.
Step 2: Click on search.
Step 3: Select the name of the person you wish to assess from the list.
Step 4: Click on +New Assessment
Step 5: Select the standard you wish to assess the trainee against and the assessment type.
Step 6: Click on Create Assessment
Step 7: Select from 'I am a new user', or 'I already have an account'
Step 8: Follow the on screen prompts.
