There may be times when trainees or those in non-training posts ask you to do an assessment on them such as a WPBA. They may do this by using the request an assessment feature on Portfolio Online, in which case, you be able to start the assessment as soon as you log in to Portfolio Online as it will be in the Outstanding Tasks section on the Dashboard of your account.
- Log on to your account.
- Click on Start Form next to the assessment request on your Dashboard.
- Complete the form.
- Click on Submit
- Submitting the form will make it an Activity in the person's portfolio you are assessing and store it in your account on your Forms page.
- If you don't want to submit the form to a portfolio straight away, save it as draft. Saving the form as draft will mean the form remains on your Dashboard as an outstanding task and will not be submitted to the person's portfolio.
- If you want to cancel the nomination, click on the black arrow on the assessment request.
If you need to do an assessment on someone you supervise, but they haven't sent you an assessment request, you can. Here's how:

- Find the person you supervise on your dashboard.
- If you are a trainee's Training Programme Director (TPD), go to your Trainees page, click on View All and select the name of the trainee from the list.
- Click on + New Assessment
- Complete the form.
- Click on Submit.
- Submitting the form will make it an Activity in the person's portfolio you are assessing and store it in your account on your Forms page.
- If you don't want to submit the form to a portfolio straight away, save it as draft. Saving the form as draft will mean the form remains on the supervisor's dashboard as an outstanding task and will not be submitted to the person's portfolio.
